
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cans cherry pie filling (21 oz each)
- Glaze:
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 almond ext
- 2 - 3 tbsp milk
Method :
Step 1 - In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla and almond extract.
Step 2 - Combine flour and salt, and gradually add to the creamed mixture just until combined.
Spread 3 cups of batter into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in baking pan, spread with pie filling.
Step 3 - Drop the remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over filling.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
Step 4 - Combine the glaze ingredients, drizzle over the top. Cut into bars.
